CAPU CENTRE FOR CHILDHOOD STUDIES

Wayfinding • Donor Recognition • Illustration

Client

Capilano University

Create an integrated signage and donor recognition system for the new Fulmer Family Centre for Childhood Studies.

Project Goals

Constructed from solid metal, the signage system features a restrained material palette complemented by thoughtful, child-centred details and highlights the contributions of donors. Each room is identified by a unique raised illustration, serving both as a recognizable wayfinding element and an interactive surface. Using paper and magnets, children can create textured rubbings of the illustrations, transforming functional signage into an opportunity for creative exploration and learning.
